Uniform
Students are expected and encouraged to take pride in their general appearance. Uniforms give students a sense of belonging (whanaungatanga) and help ensure everyone is equally well-dressed.
For your convenience, NZ Uniforms has provided this handy link to our uniform store or you can shop in-store at 244 Tristram Street (on the corner of Tristram and Rostrevor Streets). There is plenty of free parking at the rear of the building.
Some used uniform items are available in the office or advertised in the school newsletter.
Footwear
Safety requirements in most of our Technology rooms require all students to wear covered shoes. This is primarily in the Food Technology, Design and Textiles, and Hard Materials rooms. During Term 1, we understand that you may not have purchased your child’s winter shoes; if this is the case, students are welcome to bring non-uniform covered shoes (eg. trainers) to change into during Technology sessions until winter shoes are purchased.
Jewellery
- The only jewellery permitted are watches, earstuds,
- taonga of cultural significance, and plain hair ties. No students are to wear nail polish.
Hats
We encourage students to wear their school hats all year round in the harsh New Zealand sun. However, school hats must be worn for all outdoor activities during Terms 1 and 4.
